Terms & Conditions
Deposits and Payments
A deposit of $100.00 per room per night is required on booking. Payment can be made by Direct Credit, by Visa or MasterCard or by cheque. See our cancellation policy below. On booking, credit card details will be requested as security. Final payment of the accommodation cost will be debited from this card before the arrival date, unless another payment method is preferred, such as direct credit, cheque or cash.
Cancellation Policy – Standard
Our cancellation policy usually refunds all of a paid deposit if it is necessary to cancel 4 weeks prior to the date of the booking. If the booking is cancelled within 4 weeks prior to the date of the booking, we regret that we cannot refund the deposit, unless we are able to refill the booking. If business circumstances allow, the deposit may be transferred to another date, at Casa Luna’s discretion. Final payment of the remaining accommodation cost is required prior to the date of the booking, with the time required varying according to the booking date, but usually being no more than 4 weeks prior to the date of the booking. In some cases – eg for group bookings – this period may be longer, but this will be made clear in communications beforehand. For security purposes, a credit card is required at the time of booking, and this card is used to debit the balance of the accommodation cost before the booking date, unless another payment method is preferred – such as direct-credit.
Cancellation Policy – Covid 19
If government directives force the cancellation of your booking, you will be offered the options of having your deposit carried forward to a future date, or to a full refund. If cancellation is required by you for other Covid 19 related reasons – eg you have cold symptoms and do not have Corona virus test results back before your booking – your deposit will be carried forward to a date within 3 months after the date of your booking. Obviously, in the unlikely event of Casa Luna having some related problems, and are forced to cancel bookings, full refunds will be made.
At Casa Luna, we are following the required deep cleaning and social distancing protocols, and require that impending guests advise if they have been overseas, or in contact with a known Corona virus carrier, or are showing flu like symptoms.
Minimum Night Bookings
Minimum night bookings apply on most weekends, festival and long weekends – 2 to 4 nights, depending on the particular weekend. Specific booking requirements will be available on inquiring or booking.
We welcome the purchase of gift vouchers for family and friends. These vouchers can be for a prescribed amount, or for a negotiated package – eg our dinner with matched wines, bed and breakfast package, or 1 night’s accommodation in a Queen Suite, etc. They have a validity of 12 months from purchase.
Please choose your gift wisely, as we do not make refunds on gift vouchers, as per standard business practice.
When being redeemed, minimum night booking requirements must be adhered to, however a voucher for one night’s accommodation can be used for a weekend or festival or long weekend, but extra night/s must be purchased by the recipient. Vouchers cannot be used for any specials on offer, and are not transferable.
Check In and Out Times
Check in time is 3.00 pm, unless alternative arrangements are made beforehand.
Check out is 11.00am, but every attempt is made to accommodate requests for later check out.
Casa Luna is a smoke-free premises inside. Ashtrays are provided for guests who would like to smoke outside.
It may be a blessing, or a curse, but Casa Luna is in a micro area which does not have reliable mobile phone reception. The land line is available for your use on request, and we are happy to take messages. We have a free WiFi facility for guests’ use. We are reliant on a satellite service, so downloading of data is limited.
Casa Luna has been designed as a retreat for adults, and as such, does not have activities for children’s enjoyment. However, it is particularly suitable for parents of infants. The dining room’s proximity to the Queen Suites means the use of a baby monitor ensures parents’ peace of mind, allowing them to dine and relax in blissful peace. Casa Luna is the perfect venue for a ‘”babymoon”. Casa Luna is a small, intimate experience for its eight guests, and provides a lovely venue to switch off from the chores and worries of life, and truly relax.
Dogs are welcome in the grounds, but unfortunately, not in the rooms. We have a fenced area for them if required, or they can sleep outside your room or in your car, according to your preference. We are dog owners and lovers, and understand that they need a holiday too! There is plenty of room for them to play, and lots for dogs to investigate. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, and ensuring their pets don’t infringe on other guests’ enjoyment of Casa Luna. In the unlikely event of any damage caused by pets, their owners are responsible for any relevant expenses.
Horses have a 35 acre fenced paddock to enjoy, with ample feed and water.
Items left behind by guests will be securely stored. We are happy to post or courier items. We charge a minimum $20.00 to cover postage, transport, packaging, travel to PO, etc.
Casa Luna is set on 35 acres adjoining farming properties and vineyards. At some times of the year, particularly during grape harvest in Autumn, there may be some noise associated with harvesters, scare guns, etc. These activities are restricted to day time hours, however, we would like you to be aware of this situation in case it is likely to be an issue for some.
