Wine at Casa Luna Gourmet Accommodation
Casa Luna is licenced and features King Valley wineries, most of whom are members of Wines of the King Valley (www.winesofthekingvalley.com.au)Other wines from the North East of Victoria are often available, including those from Rutherglen, Glenrowan, Beechworth and the Alpine Valleys. Gwenda’s Italian-style food suits imported Italian wines as well, and we have regular dinners comparing local Italian varietal wines with their counterparts from Italy.
We also carry beers, including local microbrewery ranges, as well as Italian aperertivs and digestives, and Italian cocktails such as Negroni and Biciletta, plus San Pellegrino mineral water.
Most of our wines are available by the glass.
Casa Luna’s BYO Policy

The King Valley Cellar Door Experience
The upper and lower King Valley are specialist areas for Italian varieties – sangiovese, barbera, pinot grigio, arneis, and the exciting new prosecco, to name a few. Some well known cellar doors are Brown Brothers in Milawa (www.brown-brothers.com.au)and Dal Zotto (www.dalzotto.com.au) and Pizzini (www.pizzini.com.au) in Whitfield. Visitors will discover intimate family-run cellar door experiences. You will meet the wine maker, or at least his or her son or daughter. They will proudly show you their products, and happily refer you to a neighbour who specialises in a grape which may be a favourite of yours.
Brown Brothers were instrumental in the development of the Italian varieties, as they encouraged the local Italian tobacco growers to plant the grapes they had known in their own native regions, at the time of the collapse of the tobacco industry in Victoria. These farmers are now wine makers with their own cellar doors.
If you prefer not to drive, we are happy to organise a winery tour for you with a local tour operator.
